Just spent 5 lovely nights there.
For a large RV park it is very quiet. There are many full time residents that are as friendly as can be. Totally enjoyed every minute of our stay. Be sure to stop at Tom's Farm down the road.
We use this place frequently to arrive with our motorhome. The staff is friendly, the place is good and most people live full time. It needs some care and improvements but in general it is recommended. The new directors of the association have made some changes that do not greatly benefit temporary RVs, such as wanting to charge for receiving packages and letters or reducing the length of stay with Passport America!
I choose to fill my propane its affordable the service is done quickly and the people who run the office and propane fill tank are awesome I love my little conversations with them! The park itself is always quiet clean and beautifully maintained.
Nice RV park with really good prices. If you have a passport America membership it can save you 50%. Full hookups pull through or back in. Lots of trees lots of shade and you can even store your RV there also
We have stayed here twice. Both times, it was affordable and quiet. The pools are clean, and the residents are nice. We felt safe there and would stay again.
I have a ton of fond memories during my childhood at Glen ivy. I also have some bad ones. Theres one incident i need to talk about that was bad. My dad got drunk and broke into the pool. I went to the gate crying and whoever was there that night was amazing. I will never forget it and will always be grateful for the person who was there and how they handled the situation. I recently had someone reach out to them about this period in my childhood and I have to say I'm incredibly happy with how they responded.
This place is very family friendly. Going here was like visiting family. Everyone knew eachother. It was absolutely amazing for me as a kid and when I had someone reach out to them about a dark period of my childhood. their response told me theyre still as tight knit as they were in the 80s and 90s. Despite this being a bad time I have to say I'm truly amazed and how they responded.
Despite this being bad for me, I highly recommend them. I never felt like I was in any danger here. Everyone was amazing.
We have spent nearly a month and a half here in the Glen Ivy RV Park while waiting to get in to our new house. The fees are very reasonable and quite inexpensive for full time residents. The staff are fabulous…personable, accommodating, responsive to requests! They are the heart and soul of the park! We have felt safe and comfortable the entire time here. The only concerns experienced have been a few washers haven’t worked, but repaired quickly; the showers are adequate, but not great. The park is conveniently located for local shopping and restaurants, visiting the beaches, local wineries and, of course, LA. I wholeheartedly will recommend this RV park to anyone coming to this area and would stay here again.
4 days later…After relocating to Palm Springs, we are missing Glen Ivy! We miss the shade trees, the convenient laundry and more moderate temperatures. We should have waited another week!
Came to inquire about camping and take a tour. The girls in the office are very nice and helpful. Make you feel very welcome. The park is very nice, older but it’s very green and seems pretty quiet. Only reason it’s 4 stars it’s because there is an old lady at the guard shack that is very rude and nasty not the best face to look at when you first pull up to the park.
